Flamma Aeterna Monkey Fist Heads are a stylish alternative to standard poi; they look great unlit, give off a comet-like flame when on fire, and last an eternity before they burn out. What makes our Monkey Fist Heads unique? They are completely absorbent, having been made out of a continuous length of rope. Light and durable stainless steel cable and stainless steel round rings add no significant weight to the heads. All of your spinning weight is wick and fuel, with no wooden cores to pull out, and no cable loops to deform.
If you are looking to maximize your fuel capacity without adding a lot of material weight, please consider the MoonBlaze series of wicks, as Monkey Fists tend to be heavier before being soaked.

Two rope core materials are available: Fiberglass-core rope (K1RBF) and aramid-blend core rope (K1RBK). Aramid core rope will last longer in a physically hostile environment (e.g., hitting objects, "fire-rings"). It also creates a larger monkey fist knot because it condenses less. Fiberglass core rope lasts longer in high-heat situations, and creates a slightly heavier monkey fist.
Each Medium Monkey Fist is made of 11ft. of 3/8 in. K1RB rope. Each Large Monkey Fist is made of just under 18ft. of 3/8 in. K1RB rope.
Large fiberglass-core Monkey Fist Fire Poi Heads are 3.25 in. in diameter.
Large aramid-core Monkey Fist Fire Poi Heads are 3.25 in. in diameter.

We also have several options concerning the connection points on Monkey Fist Fire Poi Heads:
- Secondary Ring: For those wanting the option of attaching more poi heads (for double poi or triple poi), rings are installed on both the top and bottom of the head.
- Secondary Swivel: Similar to the Secondary Ring option, but one end has a ball-bearing swivel and the other has a ring.
- Primary Swivel: A ball-bearing swivel is installed as the primary attachment, instead of a ring. This is a very common choice for technical fire poi dancers.
Fire poi heads come as a pair.
