Your Fire Staff needs grip. Grip keeps stray fuel oil from running down your Fire Staff, allows you to maintain a solid hold despite sweat and fuel oil that may be on your hands, and may allow you to stick those contact moves much more reliably.

Grip types abounds, but we prefer this adhesive-backed bat grip. All of our equipment that uses grip, including our Contact Fire Staff, uses Eason bat grip, and we now suggest it if you want to make your own staff and need grip, need to re-grip a staff you own, or want to use it on some other tool to enhance its useability (torches, hoops, poi grip sticks). The grip is approximately 1" wide, and one roll is 41" long and tapers near the end to allow for easy overlapping at your starting wrap.
