The predecessor of MoonBlaze fire poi, MoonBlaze Alpha poi are designed as an improvement to standard Cathedral heads. Their construction allows for a greater retention of fuel during spinoff, and also increases the flame duration slightly. The standard #15 nickel-plated steel ball chain is shiny and swivels at every link. The other standard features are 3.0 mm zinc-plated steel quicklinks and leather single-loop handles. The poi body can be upgraded to #15 stainless steel (SS) ball or twist link (TL) chain for a small additional cost, and handles can be upgraded from single-loop (SL) to double-loop (DL).

Glow sticks and many types of LED equipment can be easily attached to the chain through the use of the pre-existing quicklinks.

Fire poi come in any length, up to 30 inches, measured end-to-end. If you are not sure what length is right for you, a good estimate can be made by measuring from your fingertips to your chest, with your arm held straight in front of you. Most measurements end up between 21 and 28 inches.

MoonBlaze Alpha Fire Poi heads are approximately 2.25 inches in width. The wick height (just the KEVLAR(R) material), as well as the height with the standard attachment, can be derived from the following list:

Tiny (1 in.) and Extra-large (5 in.) are available as custom items.
