These cable thimbles are intended to work with 1/16 in. steel cable. Cable thimbles are used to support cable loops, eliminating kinks and increasing strength. A cable sleeve is used at the bottom of a thimble to keep the wire tight. Cable thimbles provide an inexpensive way of lengthening the life of your cable loops!
