These adhesive-backed tapes are the equivalent of K1-series 1.5 in. x 1/16. in tapes with a PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) on one side that sticks readily to most standard surfaces: metal, wood, etc. This makes them ideal for wrapping on staves, batons, torches of all kinds, tube cores, and so on. Please see our Construction Tutorials section in the Learning Center for tips on applying this wick material.

When applied properly, this wick can last easily as long as our standard K1-series 1/16 Kevlar(R) wick.

It is suggested that only white gas be used with this tape wick. Though many people have used this material on low-velocity equipment (torches, fans, fingers, etc.) lamp oil, kerosene, and biodiesel have been shown to dissolve the adhesive.
